The heart, a secret garden
With walls, so very high
Admired by frequent travelers
Curious of what lay inside
Tales of shine and shimmer
The hidden Shangri-La
Scaled and sought by many
But to fall, a distance fa
Within the secret folds of folklore
Lay the so fair she
To sleep and never wake
Fading beauty, none could see
With purpose no more, the walls still stood
Alas time must take its toll
Little by Little, the barriers crumbled
Exposing a he-sized hole
Eons past the lore of -La
Beyond the elder’s mind
Deep in Sherwood wandered he
Behold a mighty find
Looming far above him
The barrier menaced and stood
But a weakness in the beast was found
Pass through the rubble he could and would
Ashen leaves crunched below him
Through the crevice was he
But stark the difference of tale and truth
Death was all he could see
No shine and shimmer could be found
No luxury, no light, no -La
Solely faded beauty and bones
