With walls, so very high

Admired by frequent travelers

Curious of what lay inside

Tales of shine and shimmer

The hidden Shangri-La

Scaled and sought by many

But to fall, a distance fa

Within the secret folds of folklore

Lay the so fair she

To sleep and never wake

Fading beauty, none could see

With purpose no more, the walls still stood

Alas time must take its toll

Little by Little, the barriers crumbled

Exposing a he-sized hole

Eons past the lore of -La

Deep in Sherwood wandered he

Behold a mighty find

Looming far above him

The barrier menaced and stood

But a weakness in the beast was found

Pass through the rubble he could and would

Ashen leaves crunched below him

Through the crevice was he

But stark the difference of tale and truth

Death was all he could see

No shine and shimmer could be found

No luxury, no light, no -La

Solely faded beauty and bones

For naught, he’d traveled fa
